Thomas J. Pranica serves as Vice President, Senior Trust & Financial Advisor at Legacy Private Trust Company, providing comprehensive fiduciary and financial guidance to professionals, business owners, and executives. With a diverse background spanning public accounting, corporate tax law, and wealth management, Thomas brings a multidimensional perspective to the management of complex trust and investment relationships.
Prior to joining Legacy, Thomas advised and served high-net-worth families on investment strategies, tax optimization, and financial planning. He also co-instructed an advanced estate and financial planning course at the University of Wisconsin Law School.
Earlier in his career, Thomas practiced as a corporate tax attorney, counseling clients on mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation, and multistate taxation. He began his professional journey at a Big Four accounting firm, advancing quickly through roles in domestic and international tax and coordinating cross-border projects for multinational clients.
Thomas earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School, ranking in the top 20% of his class. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Minnesota – Carlson School of Management, graduating with high academic distinction.
A licensed attorney and Certified Public Accountant, Thomas passed the FINRA Series 7 and 66 exams and holds life insurance and variable annuity licenses. He is recognized for his thoughtful communication, analytical rigor, and dedication to helping clients make informed, confident decisions.
