Laurene M. Brooks

Vice President, Senior Fiduciary Officer 920.967.5024

Laurene Brooks has been with the Trust Company since 2004 as a senior member of our personal trust group. A proud Golden Eagle, Laurene was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Spanish from Marquette University and a Juris Doctorate from its school of law. Laurene developed her love of trusts and estate planning at the law firm of Quarles & Brady in Milwaukee where she practiced for five years before accepting a position in the trust department of First Bank, Milwaukee. She later joined Associated Trust Company in Neenah after she and her husband relocated to Oshkosh to be closer to their Berlin families.

Armed with a pleasant curiosity and delightful style, Laurene cultivates personal and enduring relationships with her clients who appreciate her heartfelt interest in their personal and financial situations. Laurene also serves as Legacy’s senior fiduciary officer, a role that allows her to work with and advise other relationship managers on the many administrative and legal issues surrounding Legacy’s account relationships.

Laurene is the past chair of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin, where she assisted member lawyers with various aspects of the section’s benefits, including education, new and revised legislation and communication.

Laurene is active in many aspects of the Oshkosh community, including her church, St. Raphael the Archangel, and Lourdes Academy, where her youngest of three sons is in high school. With their two older sons away at college, Laurene and her husband, Bob, make family time a priority and treasure any time that the whole family is together. Otherwise, when she’s not attending a high school sporting or musical event, Laurene enjoys sharing a cup of coffee or dinner with friends, an occasional round of golf, traveling with her husband or hiking through the woods of her family’s hunting land.

Supporting Laurene with her client relationships is Mary Jovanovich, Senior Client Representative. Mary’s primary role is in client servicing and account support. She has more than 30 years of experience in trust administration and providing outstanding service to clients and their families. Mary joined Legacy just after operations began in 2004, after working for 20 years in the trust department of a regional bank in various capacities. Mary’s conscientious and empathetic personality makes her an easy person to work with and her long-term clients rely on her attention to the needs of their families. Mary can be reached via phone at 920.967.5038.
