Barb Blashka has been leading our tax and financial planning group since 2006. Barb earned a BA from Lakeland University in Accounting and Business Administration and is a graduate from National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University.
With more than 30 years of trust and financial experience-including 24 years concentrating on trust-related tax issues-Barb has an extensive record of client success, and serves as an invaluable resource to the other investment and trust professionals at Legacy and is an integral participant in many of Legacy client relationships.
When she’s not busy studying the ever-changing IRS tax law and regulations, Barb can be found spending her weekends in the fall of the year sitting in the bleachers at UW-Oshkosh football games where her son, Austin, is a defensive back. Other times of the year she might be visiting her daughter, Jill, in Minneapolis who is a nurse in a pediatric intensive care unit. Barb’s other interests include taking motorcycle excursions with her husband, Don, and their friends, boating during the summer and reading political thriller novels.
Barb’s adventurous and friendly personality blends with her diligent and attentive style and benefits clients through her genuine commitment to their personal and financial well-being. She understands clients’ needs and objectives, and strives to keep Legacy clients on the straight and narrow and well-informed about tax consequences that impact their financial affairs and investment portfolios.
