Neenah, WI, December 18, 2014 — Legacy Private Trust Company, an independent, closely-held trust and investment management firm located in Neenah, Wisconsin, announced today that Legacy employee David W. Trotter has earned the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation.
The CFA Program, which is administered by CFA Institute, the global non-profit association of investment professionals, sets a standard that is acknowledged around the world as the definitive standard by which to measure the competence, integrity, and dedication of serious investment professionals. Recipients of the CFA charter have successfully completed the graduate-level, self-study curriculum and a series of three intensive examinations taken sequentially, which, in total, takes most candidates between two and five years.
Trotter has been with Legacy since 2012 as a trust and investment officer, managing client portfolios as a member of Legacy’s investment management team. He began his focus on asset management and financial analysis while completing his Bachelor of Science degree in finance in Marquette’s Applied Investment Management Program. Prior to joining Legacy, he served as a vice president at an investment management firm in Milwaukee, managing portfolios for institutional and high-net worth clients. “David’s a uniquely and uncommonly thoughtful and mature young man and has shown Legacy clients that he is experienced beyond his years,” commented Legacy president Michael B. Mahlik. “His intelligence, dedicated work ethic and enthusiastic attitude have made him a very valuable and respected part of the Legacy team.” In addition to the CFA® designation, Trotter also holds a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst® (CAIA®) designation, a rigorous, self-study program for finance professionals seeking deep knowledge and expertise in alternative investments.
“We congratulate David on achieving of both these highly regarded designations and appreciate all his contributions as a member of Legacy’s superior professional staff,” Mahlik further commented.
